MINNEAPOLIS, Dec. 29 /Christian Newswire/ -- While it may take 30,000 more troops heading to Afghanistan to secure the Western way of life, according to Philip Jegede, these military heroes should go knowing that those left behind cherish the precious opportunity to hold hands with wives and hug children who are the basis of their mission of honor. "To let them know that their sacrifice is not in vain, we should donate our voices to help make this world less violent," stated Jegede. "It also provides an opportunity to teach Mustafa - a young child growing up in a Muslim faith who may be brainwashed to pick up a gun and proclaimed 'Allah Akbar' in the streets of Obama's Chicago, or aboard an American Jetliner the true promises of Allah who is indeed 'Akbar'," said Jegede, who cites Chapter 3, verse 172, of the Koran: "Of those who answered the call of Allah and the messenger, even after being wounded, those who do right and refrain from wrong have a great reward."
"Like the Nigerian Father had done by reporting his son to the American authorities about his son's admiration of Islamist extremism, parents all over the world with children prone to carrying out terroristic acts should do likewise. America is lucky that this son of a Nigerian banker failed in his attempt to carry out a 2009 Christmas day massacre of innocent Americans aboard an American Jetliner," said Jegede.
Sponsored by, Minnesota-based Philip Jegede Evangelistic Association, the new Chambers of the Friends of God (FOG) are operating on the philosophy that while it takes a village to raise a child, it takes a new village to raise an adult. Jegede refers to a quote from J.K. Hart when explaining why the organization is taking this step: "No child can escape his community. The life of the community flows about him, foul or pure; he swims in it, goes to sleep in it, and wakes to the new day to find it still about him. He belongs to it; it nourishes him, or starves him, or poisons him; it gives him the substance of life."
According to Jegede, as the 2010 new year begins, God, Allah, Jehovah, Yahweh, all-for-one and one-for-all have a new year"s wish, "Stop killing and hating in my name, come together as my children and make your differences into assets in favor of one another."
FOG was founded as an interfaith think tank forum where people from different religions
address issues that confront our world fearlessly, impartially, and with probity and arrive at decisions that create positive behavior modification among those prone to violence, terroristic acts, and acts of child and women trafficking for monetary gains. Segments of the world population prone to committing these acts are reached through their friends, neighbors, and family members. Behavior modification is accomplished through educational and spiritual self-improvement programs as alternatives to violence.
FOG also aims through the Seek Help/Give Help forum provided at the Chambers of the Friends of God Web site, (www.fogchambers.org), that one day a Muslim in Saudi Arabia will be able to offer help to a Christian in New York and vise versa. People in countries all over the world are encouraged by FOG to register free and donate their voices to help make our world a better place for our children. People who may not be interested in being a member of the Think Tank but are burdened and need help with jobs, medical problems or any other form of help are strongly encouraged to register free to seek help at FOG. Members and non-members of FOG with the abilities to provide the help others need may visit FOGChambers.org to learn about the individual requests of those in need.
Fog Think Tank gives a credible base for brothers, fathers, mothers, neighbors, and friends to confront their terrorist strays as a family issue. Fog's idea to take terrorism head-on is new. As Peter F Drucker puts it, "All great achievements start with small ideas." "To create a change, there is nothing more powerful than a body of organized people. FOG is a body of organized people from all religious faiths," concluded Jegede.
