ATLANTA, Nov. 22, 2019 /Christian Newswire/ -- Evangelist Alveda King submits the following and is available for comment:
The current impeachment lies, Democrat Debates, Chick-fil-A attacks, and DOJ/Comcast misalignment are all examples of indicative symptoms of a very serious problem: Culture War.
In light of the very recent Democrat Party presidential debates, America should pause, stop, and examine our moral state.
If the Democratic Party has anything to do with it, our current president will be impeached under false pretense, and our next president will endorse and embrace homosexual marriage, abortion on demand, higher taxes to support an agenda of death and lunacy. This should not be.
Is this what America really wants? Or have we lost our way?
We are living in a nation right now that is fanning flames of the culture war. Currently, we are suffering through a bogus unjust impeachment crusade against the sitting President of the United States. The 45th president of the United States has already accomplished much good for all Americans.
In his current term, POTUS has championed for fewer abortions of innocent babies with opportunities to bolster the sanctity of life; a strong job market; lower unemployment; women's rights; a reversal of a very deadly criminal justice system. This criminal justice reform has given America a wonderful opportunity for citizens to return home to their families, especially non-violent offenders who perhaps never should have received the strenuous penalties that landed them in jail in the first place. There is so much more. He keeps his promises.
This battle goes far beyond politics. This culture war is certainly far beyond the scope of Republican vs. Democrat. It reaches far beyond skin color and sexual preference. Now, it is time to pause and think about truth.
Fact Check:
Question: Have Chick-Fil-A and other charitable donors deserted a legacy of caring and giving?
Answer: Chick-Fil-A is still closed on Sunday. Chick-Fil-A remains committed to charitable giving. Due to the fact that many have rushed to judgment before discerning relevant facts regarding information as to who Chick-Fil-A will or will not continue to support with charitable giving, and why; there has been much unnecessary chatter and angst stirred up against a company that has excellently served America and the world for many years.
Question: Should we really be fighting and accusing each other for corporate decisions regarding what charities we will support?
Answer: We should never challenge anyone without having the real facts; the truth, first. At FaithIt, Brie Gowen writes: "Dear Christians, Put Down Your Pitchforks. You're Not Getting the Whole Story on Chick-fil-A."
Neither did we get the whole story about Salvation Army or any of the others in question. Here's what the Salvation Army who is high ranking among the most charitable organizations in the world, with their legacy of caring, had to say:
"When misinformation is perpetuated without fact, our ability to serve those in need, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, religion or any other factor, is at risk," the Salvation Army said. "We urge the public to seek the truth before rushing to ill-informed judgment."
Question: Has POTUS directed the DOJ and the United States Supreme Court to abolish the 1866 Civil Rights Act of 1866, as is suggested in the lawsuit by Entertainment Studios led by entrepreneur and network operator Byron Allen?
Answer: Due to the established system of checks and balances among the three branches of U.S. government; executive, judiciary and legislative; a sitting president cannot direct the U.S. Supreme Court to do anything. While there is evidence that POTUS supports economic empowerment in every sector of America and in every ethnic group in America, evidenced by his strong Opportunity Zones agenda, there is absolutely no evidence that POTUS has ordered the DOJ to dismantle the 1866 Civil Rights Act.
Question: How important is the issue of abortion in the current Democratic Debates?
Answer: While all of the 2020 Democratic Presidential Candidates support abortion on demand in one form of the other, most prefer to refer to the process of killing an unborn baby as "reproductive rights," rather than abortion or baby killing. The terms reproductive rights and termination of pregnancy are less graphic and more acceptable to many voters, than the words abortion and baby killing.
Question: Why is there so much dissension, leading to these culture wars that continue to spark in our nation today?
Answer: Often it is the media, who some also call "Fake News," who is responsible for stirring up all of the emotions that cloud reasoned judgment among the people. The brain and the spirit do not function fully when emotions are raw. As a result, truth, legacy and generosity are under attack from lunacy.
The solution? Get all of the facts first. It's time to stop the culture wars and seek higher ground. Pray for America.
