TOPEKA, Kansas, April 23 /Christian Newswire/ -- Operation Rescue President Troy Newman has responded a letter he received from the Kansas Commission on Judicial Qualifications (KCJQ) indicating that it has ended their investigation against Judge Paul W. Clark.

"We are asking for clarification to key facts in the investigation," said Newman.

Sen. Tim Hueslkamp, Newman, and other national pro-life leaders filed the complaint against Clark for not disclosing campaign contributions from parties associated with abortionist George R. Tiller during proceedings where Clark dismissed 30 criminal charges against Tiller related to illegal late-term abortions.

The KCJQ indicated that they based their decision to close the case on a statement submitted by Clark that stated in part, "I have never examined the public record of contributors to any campaign in which I was a candidate."

"Certainly they did not rely solely on the word of the man under investigation for ethics violations," said Newman. "There must have been more to their investigation than that. Almost everyone accused of wrong-doing will deny it, especially if there will be serious consequences to pay, as in this case. We are interested in seeing the statements that corroborated Clark's denial."
