BOISE, Idaho, June 27, 2022 /Christian Newswire/ -- Congressman Fulcher will join Stanton Healthcare for a historic gathering at the Idaho State Capitol to mark the end of Roe v. Wade and celebrate a new era in America.
For the first time in almost 50 years, America is experiencing a new reality: abortion on demand is no longer the law of the land.
Stanton Healthcare will hold a prayer and worship gathering at the Idaho State Capitol steps on Tuesday, June 28 at 6:30 p.m. to celebrate the overturning of Roe v. Wade and share impactful ways the community can be involved in providing support for women facing unexpected pregnancies.
Congressman Russ Fulcher will join Stanton's Founder and CEO, Brandi Swindell, along with members of Stanton's medical team and staff to mark this watershed moment in American history for human rights, justice and ending abortion violence.
With this decision, the Supreme Court rejects the notion that abortion is a fundamental Constitutional right and now returns power back to the states.
However, the overturning of Roe is not a finish line, but rather a starting line for the pro-life community to move forward state by state to make abortion unthinkable; and to collaborate in meaningful ways to assist families with help, resources, and hope.
Stanton Public Policy Center/Purple Sash Revolution is a women's advocacy and educational group that works on issues of human rights and justice which empower and inspire women. It is affiliated with Stanton Healthcare which has life-affirming women's health clinics in America and internationally.
Brandi Swindell, Founder and CEO of Stanton Healthcare, states:
"As an advocate for women, human rights and justice, I am thrilled the tragic history of abortion violence in America, created by Roe v. Wade, is ending. Our nation is now embracing the truth that unfettered access to abortion for the full nine months of pregnancy does not uplift women or advance justice and equality.
"As Roe v. Wade has been overturned, the pro-life community looks forward to working state by state to ensure abortion violence comes to an end in our nation. Stanton Healthcare will continue to offer professional and compassionate healthcare to women facing unexpected pregnancies, as well as physical and emotional support for their family; and our public policy center will actively move forward in shaping pro-life public policy and legislation.
"The pro-life community is excited about a post-Roe America where all life will be treated with dignity."
Congressman Russ Fulcher, who is the U.S. representative for Idaho's 1st congressional district, states:
"During my time in the real estate business, I was honored to be the agent who helped Stanton Healthcare purchase a clinic next to Planned Parenthood in Boise, then again several years later in Meridian, Idaho.
"Whether working as an international businessman, as a real estate broker, serving in the Idaho State Senate, or as a U.S. Congressman, I have always been committed to the pro-life cause and working passionately to ending abortion and encouraging life for mothers and their preborn children.
"Stanton Healthcare is showing the way forward in a post-Roe America by offering women with unexpected pregnancies quality medical care, practical and emotional support, hope and a future. I am so thankful Idaho's capital city no longer has a Planned Parenthood abortion center and I look forward to the day when abortion is unthinkable."
