BLACK MOUNTAIN, N.C., Sept. 10, 2015 /Christian Newswire/ -- The country of Lebanon has more refugees per capita than any other nation.  You can hear the true story about the refugee crisis from Tom Atema, COO of Heart for Lebanon, who is on the ground in Lebanon until September 18, 2015.

Heart for Lebanon, a not-for-profit organization since 2006, is on the ground now helping thousands of refugees with food and hygiene packages and health awareness.

As the Syrian civil war enters the fifth year there are 1.4 million registered Syrian refugees in Lebanon, and it is estimated that you can double this number when you count those unregistered, Lebanon has more refugees per capita than any other nation.  Over half of these refugees are children under the age of 18.

By being a recognized and registered organization in Lebanon, Heart for Lebanon is able to work daily with the refugees, accessing the needs, providing aide and building trusted relationship with the people.
