NAPLES, Fla., Feb. 1 /Christian Newswire/ -- Indianapolis Colts head coach Tony Dungy and Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame quarterback Bart Starr will take center stage at the 2007 Super Bowl Breakfast telecast airing multiple times throughout the day this Super Bowl Sunday, February 4, on Sky Angel's Angel Two network.
Angel Two is among the 30-plus Christian and family TV and radio channels carried on the Sky Angel direct-to-home satellite service serving the continental U.S. Angel Two is also carried on Sky Angel's new Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) service recently launched in Canada. Owned and operated by Sky Angel, Angel Two was created to host special faith-based events, including conferences, documentaries and debates.
The NFL™-sanctioned Super Bowl Breakfast is sponsored by Athletes in Action (AIA), the sports outreach ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ. Now in its 20th year, the event is held in the Super Bowl host city during Super Bowl week and showcases life stories and personal faith testimonies of Dungy, Starr, and football stars from both Super Bowl teams. A highlight of the breakfast is the presentation of the Bart Starr Award to a current NFL player who exemplifies outstanding character and leadership in the home, on the field, and in the community.
Sky Angel will air the 2007 Super Bowl Breakfast this Sunday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. ET/7 a.m. PT with encore broadcasts before and after the Super Bowl game at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT and 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT. The event will re-air Sunday, February 18, at 12 p.m. ET/9 a.m. PT.
Sky Angel will also be broadcasting other Athletes in Action sports outreach events in the coming weeks and months on its Angel Two network, including NBA™ All-Star Breakfast on February 25; Legends of the Hardwood on April 1; and Night of Champions on May 18, 19 and 20.
