WASHINGTON, June 11, 2013 /Christian Newswire/ -- 11 AM Demonstration outside U.S. Capitol Building, including flogging of Rep. Peter King in effigy; 11:45 AM visit to Rep. Peter King's offices.
Background:
Following Edward Snowden's release of top-secret NSA spying information, Rep. Peter King (R, NY2) said in the British newspaper, The Guardian: "...the United States government must prosecute him to the fullest extent of the law and begin extradition proceedings at the earliest date..."
By this condemnation, Representative Peter King undermines U.S. citizens' rights against "unreasonable search and seizure."
Tea Partiers and Free Speech Activists will gather from 11AM at southeast corner of U.S. Capitol Building, near the corner of Independence Ave SE and New Jersey Ave SE, to expose Rep. Peter King for his treachery and to show support for whistleblower Edward Snowden.
Tea Party Republicans will flog Rep. Peter King in effigy, as they loudly present a list of Questions for the Honorable Representative.
Demonstrators' signs will include the following messages:
King is a traitor, Snowden is a Hero.
Prosecute King, not Snowden.
Prosecute Holder not Snowden.
At 11:45 AM they will present the Questions at the offices of Rep. Peter King, 339 Cannon House Office Building.
Organized by The Society For Truth and Justice, led by Randall Terry.
Randall Terry states:
"Rep. Peter King's statements are designed to defend himself against his trashing of the U.S. Constitution and his violation of the liberties of Americans. King's statements and actions show that tyranny is non-partisan.
"Does Pete King believe that he can spy on the American people and get away with it?
"Does Pete King believe that his constituents wanted him to give the government unfettered access to their personal lives?"
