Celebration Will Feature Performances by National Recording Artists Vicki Yohe, Keith Williams, Earnest Pugh and Houston Gospel Sensation Nikki Ross

HOUSTON, July 8, 2015 /Christian Newswire/ -- A light for thousands of believers in Houston and around the world, Pastor Keion Henderson has devoted his life to the work of his LightHouse Church and the word of God. Now, on the 20th anniversary of his ministry, his peers and congregation at The LightHouse Church will gather to recognize his impact and celebrate his life.

The event, held July 12th at The LightHouse Church during the 10AM worship service, will feature musical performances from the Praise & Worship ministry, led by Earnest Pugh, and the Music & Arts ministry, led by choir master Keith Williams. Musical guests will include national recording artist Vicki Yohe and Houston-native gospel star Nikki Ross, who will deliver a birthday tribute to Pastor Henderson. They will be joined by representatives from LightHouse's in-house ministries, as well as greetings and blessings from Pastor's peers and associates from around the world. Doors will open at 9AM, and all are invited to come and be blessed.

Pastor Keion Dwayne Henderson, who is the founder and Senior Pastor at The LightHouse Church, has embraced ministry since giving his first sermon at age 14. While in college, God gave Pastor Henderson a calling that switched his career path from sports to the promotion of social empathy and religious growth. With the Lord’s help, Pastor Henderson graduated with a degree in Organizational Communication and moved to Houston, where he sowed the seeds that would become The LightHouse Church, now one of Texas’ fastest-growing churches with over 4000 members. Since its inception, he has grown the church’s impact in the local community through need-specific initiatives, and expanded its mission and his own advocacy to include issues of human and social rights on the world stage.
