MURFREESBORO, Tenn., Sept. 30, 2015 /
Christian Newswire/ -- Christians gathered this fall for the Defending Truth Conference in Murfreesboro, TN, will be trained to effectively and respectfully defend their faith in an increasingly hostile and immoral culture.
The Nov. 13-14 event will be led by apologists and evangelists including Dr. Stephen Meyer, Dr. Frank Turek, Dr. Alex McFarland, Abdu Murray, Isik Abla, Isaac Adams, and Troy Miller.
Together, these Christian leaders will help attendees to explore the important questions about life and the believer's response to the creation/evolution debate, radical Islam, media, and culture.
"Apologetics is defined as 'a formal argumentation in defense of something, such as a position or system,' and is often thought of by Christians as an evangelism tool used by really smart people to argue with other really smart people. But, in reality, apologetics is a discipleship tool with which every Christian should be familiar," says Miller, President & CEO of the NRB Network, which is presenting the third annual conference.
"Today's culture is crying out for answers to the questions that define a person's view on life, economics, science, politics, freedom, and, of course, sin," he adds. "We live in a time when it is more important than ever for Christians to know what they believe and to be able to effectively communicate their faith."
The theme for this year's conference is "Salt & Light: The Church's Role in Preserving the Culture." The conference will be held at Belle Aire Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, TN, near Nashville.
