Bradlee Dean and attorney Larry Klayman have responded to the most recent actions of Rachel Maddow with an Opposition to her Motion to Dismiss.
While trying to avoid the ramifications of allegedly slanderous reporting, Rachel Maddow in a desperate attempt to remove all scrutiny, has recently motioned to dismiss a $50 million defamation lawsuit filed against her by Christian student advocate and radio show host Bradlee Dean. Many news sources, backed by public opinion, have condemned the television host's actions, suggesting she should print a retraction and take ownership of her malicious reporting.
In Dean's Opposition to her Motion to Dismiss, attorney Larry Klayman uncovers Maddow's desperate attempt to cover her tracks by filing for dismissal, conveniently placing major emphasis solely on her first report in 2010 on Bradlee Dean. However, Klayman commented: "Maddow and MSNBC clearly defamed my client. Maddow went way over the line, particularly in her second broadcast, by claiming that Dean and Republicans like then-presidential candidate Michele Bachmann are 'bloodthirsty' and want to see more gays and lesbians killed. This was outrageous and harmful and for this, Maddow and MSNBC will be held legally accountable."

On her MSNBC program, Maddow edited a radio broadcast of statements made by Dean in such a way to falsely and misleadingly convey to the viewer that Dean advocated the execution of homosexuals. This method of editing audio/video clips in order to mislead the public is an action not uncommon with NBC. In the recent controversy over George Zimmerman's alleged shooting of Trayvon Martin, NBC once again edited audio in order to portray a false narrative that Zimmerman was acting out in a racist manner.
Despite the very clear disclaimer by Bradlee Dean on his ministry's website and elsewhere regarding the false accusation that he was calling for the execution of homosexuals, MSNBC's Rachel Maddow seized on and accused Dean on her show of supporting the killing of homosexuals, as is the practice in some radical Islamic countries.
MSNBC, Maddow, and NBC, who are anti-conservative and secular, if not anti-religious -- indeed their network marketing is geared to the left of the political spectrum -- maliciously used Dean as a means to tie them to then presidential candidate Michele Bachmann -- also an avowed Christian conservative -- in an attempt to destroy her campaign as well. This "clever" but outrageous strategy, designed also to boost viewership, must be held to account legally.
In an interview early last year, MSNBC's president Phil Griffin admitted that the network, to boost its ratings, caters to the so-called "progressive left." This explains the malicious attacks on Bradlee Dean and his ministry.
