Oral Roberts University to be the Exclusive Educational Strategic Partner of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference

Christian Newswire/ -- Oral Roberts University (ORU) is signing an agreement with the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference (NHCLC) that will position ORU as the exclusive educational strategic partner for the NHCLC. This agreement will make ORU the only college or university with this relationship.

"For that matter, the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, the Hispanic National Association of Evangelicals, in addition to the Hispanic Mega Church Association, The National Hispanic Pentecostal Congress, and the Jesse Miranda Center for Hispanic Christian Leadership, hereby recognize ORU as the School of Choice for the Hispanic Spirit-filled community and endorse the university as the premier learning institution for the over 20 million Hispanics that according to Pew Research, embrace the Charismatic, Spirit Filled Christian experience," said Rodriguez.
ORU will also appear as the exclusive education partner in the NHCLC's national campaign to lower the Latino high school dropout rate and in their national campaign for Latino Christian higher education.
As part of the agreement, ORU will establish the Jesse Miranda Center as a welcoming place for students from the Hispanic community. This center will be a model for universities around the nation in providing resources to assist this rapidly growing community. It will serve as a recruitment center, fellowship hall for Latino students, and research and development wing for Next Generation Hispanic Spirit-filled programs.
"The Hispanic community is a vital piece of the fabric of this country and the world. This agreement shows ORU's commitment to this community and will give the NHCLC churches a sensitive and energetic place to point Hispanic high school graduates," said Dr. Mark Rutland, president of ORU.
