CHICAGO, June 1, 2015 /Christian Newswire/ -- Robert R. Reilly, author of Making Gay Okay: How Rationalizing Homosexual Behavior is Changing Everything, will be the featured speaker at the Catholic Citizens Forum Luncheon on June 12, 2015.

Mary Anne Hackett, President of Catholic Citizens commented: "State and federal courts freely overturn local and state-wide referenda and other expressions of the overwhelming will of the people to preserve true marriage. The nation now awaits the Supreme Court's decision regarding who and how we define marriage. How did we come to this?"

Is the "gay" lobby merely looking for tolerance? Or, as Reilly contends, is it seeking to impose a "new morality" of homosexuality, where those who do not accept homosexual behavior must be legally forced to embrace the rationalization of it or be silent in the face of it?

"The recent vote in 'Catholic' Ireland is Exhibit A in the proof that the Irish voters celebrating their vote for 'fairness' and 'equality' have no idea of the consequences of that decision on their lives but are just repeating the slogans of the 'gay' agenda" said Mrs. Hackett. In his book, Robert Reilly explores what acceptance of homosexual behavior means in every aspect of our lives. He traces homosexuality from an historical perspective through culture, justice, biology and morality and its march through the institutions in our country."

Fr. C. John McCloskey describes Reilly's book as "the best one up to now on this extremely contentious and crucial topic of our time, explaining the ongoing vicious attacks on the most important institution of any country in any era: the marriage of a man and a woman that is open to life."

Robert Reilly is Senior Fellow for Strategic Communication with the American Foreign Policy Council. H has taught at the National Defense University, served in the Office of Secretary of Defense, director of Voice of American and Special Assistant to the President and in the U.S. Information Agency both in D.C. and abroad.
