SANTA CLARA, Cali., August 5 /Christian Newswire/ -- On Aug 10th, 2007, the new Bible study and Christian inspirational site www.FaithSavers.com will be open for beta testers. The site is only available to 1000 beta testers at which point the registration process will be disabled.

The www.FaithSavers.com project was created to give Christians an online tool for Bible study. The site was designed by a pair of Wayland Baptist University Alumni who are focused on brining web 2.0 technologies to the online Christian community.

The founders built the site to act like a cross between web2.0 news services and modern social networking sites. Among the many features of the site, users can save verses of the Bible to their profile, mark them as read, make leave comments about them and respond to other users comments. Members can save other users as friends and receive various email notifications based on certain events occurring, such as someone commenting on a verse you saved.

The first translation of the Bible available on www.FaithSavers.com is the American Standard Version complete with its over thirty thousand verses. This translation is now online, indexed, and completely searchable. While the site is in limited beta testing it is interesting to note that the most common search phrases are currently child, cross, hope, and life.
