BOISE, Idaho, March 20, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ -- The State of Idaho is voting on legislation that would require women to have an ultrasound before getting an abortion.
Stanton Healthcare, as part of their National Campaign "Voices from the Womb," plan to perform ultrasounds on pregnant women this Wednesday, March 21, from 12:30noon -1:45pm.
The ultrasounds will be performed in room West Wing 53 of the Idaho State Capitol Building in Boise.
Stanton Healthcare launched "Voices from the Womb" in October of 2011 by performing live ultrasounds for the first time in history in the United States Capitol Building in Washington, D.C.

The purposes of "Voices from the Womb" is to let America see the humanity of the pre-born child and let them for the first time "speak for themselves" through live ultrasound technology.
By showing ultrasounds before this pending legislation in Idaho, it will give legislators the chance to see the beauty and personhood of the child in their mother's womb and also dispel outrageous charges by pro-choice advocates that these ultrasound procedures somehow are equivalent to rape.
Stanton Healthcare plans to take "Voices from the Womb" across the nation and perform live ultrasounds in states that are considering similar legislation.
Brandi Swindell, Founder and President of Stanton Healthcare a life-affirming medical clinic in Boise, Idaho, states;
"When Roe was decided in 1973, there was a real argument going on about the humanity of the pre-born child and when life begins. However, with the amazing scientific advances over the past 40 years in fetology, ultrasound technology and modern medicine those arguments are obsolete and archaic. It is now clear that life and the humanity of the child begins at conception.
"Voices from the Womb reaffirms the truth that women have always been at the forefront in speaking out against violence and embracing equality and human rights for all.
"Early feminist and suffragette leader, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, said, 'When we consider that women are treated as property, it is degrading to women that we should treat our children as property to be disposed of as we see fit.'
"For the first time, our political leaders in Idaho will have the chance to view first hand the humanity of the child in the womb.
"I invite all women who consider themselves pro-choice to step away from the dark ages and the wrong side of history and join with people like Elizabeth Cady Stanton and embrace justice for all.
"This ultrasound legislation will protect the dignity of women, it will protect the rights of women and it will ensure that women have access to medically accurate information regarding their pregnancy. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER"
