DAVENPORT, Iowa, Jan. 15, 2018 /Christian Newswire/ -- How many times in your life have you felt you were in the wilderness? So many of us struggle in this difficult place, feeling as if we will never escape, never find what we are destined for. Luana Stoltenberg's book Singing in the Wilderness brings a message of hope, of light that breaks through the darkness, composing a song of redemption out of a history of abuse, neglect, unplanned pregnancy, abortion, and a search for love in all the wrong places.

Singing in the Wilderness is endorsed and praised by Governor Mike Huckabee, Senator Rick Santorum, singer Kathy Troccoli, author/speaker Carol Everett, and many others. In this autobiography, Luana weaves words of prayer and scripture throughout her story. At the end of each chapter she asks thought provoking questions and suggests actions for the reader to find freedom and healing. Singing in the Wilderness can be used as a devotional tool by the reader to bring wholeness and intimacy with Christ.

At fifteen, Luana became pregnant. Ironically, her pregnancy gave her a way out of a home filled with alcohol abuse and dysfunction. She married, and shortly after suffered a miscarriage, and the marriage ended. Seeking love and acceptance, Luana's lifestyle resulted in another unplanned pregnancy. Desperate and scared, she was convinced that abortion was her only option. Her life spiraled down into depression, drug and alcohol abuse, and failed suicide attempts. After two more abortions, she lost all hope, but God had a plan. Luana was catapulted into a world of miracles, marriage, adoption, politics, and pro-life advocacy. There were tears and heartache along the way, and the path out of the wilderness was marred with roadblocks, detours, and missteps, but God never failed her.

Today, Luana is well-known for her pro-life work and advocacy and has been interviewed on a variety of talk shows and magazines, even testifying before a congressional judiciary hearing in 2016.
