PRESCOTT VALLEY, Az., Aug. 8 /Christian Newswire/ -- Alvin Slaughter will be performing in a free concert to benefit an orphanage/school in Malawi, Africa. Donations will be taken for the cause. The concert will be August 19, 2006, 7pm at Living Faith Christian Center 7225 Coyote Springs Rd.

From the busy streets of lower Manhattan in New York City to the Republic of Malawi known as "the warm heart of Africa", Alvin Slaughter International, a non profit 501-C3 corporation has been established to feed, clothe, educate, assist and establish outreaches that mentor, equip and train leaders to stem the tide of poverty and disease in their own communities.

Seeing first hand the devastations caused by the lack of education and resources, our desire is to make an impact by raising awareness, and providing funds as we build a team of professionals, students, homemakers, laborers, senior citizens... anyone willing to give of themselves to touch the world with the love of Christ in a tangible way.
