SAN ANTONIO, May 9 /Christian Newswire/ -- As part of its on-going "Giving to Make A Change" campaign, Family Praise Center (FPC) church is sponsoring a "Pampered Mothers" luncheon, Saturday, May 12th from Noon until 1:30pm at the SAMMinistries Transitional Living and Learning Center located at 5922 Blanco Road in San Antonio.

"This is our chance to make those who are less fortunate feel special," says Minister Will Norris, director of Community Outreach ministry at FPC.  "We just felt these mothers deserve to be honored and recognized."  Each mother at the shelter will enjoy a special meal of Filet Mignon and receive a gift basket, while the FPC Children's Ministry entertains their children and helps them make Mother's day cards.  Afterward, each mother will be given a free family portrait taken during the luncheon with a drawing for a visit to a local spa and much more.

"Family Praise Center is committed to spreading the gospel not only in word but also in deed." said Bishop Rick Hawkins, founder of FPC.

Bishop Rick Hawkins founded Family Praise Center in 1993.  Beginning with less than 60 members, Bishop Hawkins' vision and the purpose for establishing Family Praise Center was to establish a diversified, fully integrated, inter-denominational church where people from all walks of life come and work together to accomplish the primary purpose of "Equipping The Family For Ministry." Through its internal and external outreach programs it has made a positive impact on families in the San Antonio community since November of 1993.
