LOS ANGELES, March 14, 2024 /Christian Newswire/ -- Thousands will gather on Saturday, March 16th at 2:00 PM, at GLORY CHURCH, 1801. S. Grand Avenue in downtown Los Angeles. A broad-based coalition of concerned citizens and parental rights organizations are gathering in support of the proposed ballot initiative Protect Kids of California Act of 2024. The "Time To Stand" rally will feature Chole Cole, the nationally known transgender de-transitioner who testified before Congress of the severe harms of gender transitioning for minors.
The Protect Kids of California Act of 2024 will require schools to notify parents when their child verbalizes the decision to socially transition in school settings, will ensure that girls and women have fair competition by limiting girls' athletic programs to biological female athletes only and will prevent child sterilization by prohibiting puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and transgender surgeries on minors.
"Parents and citizens of California are fed up with the radical anti-woman, anti-science and anti-family policies in our schools," said Sarah Stephens of Make California Gold Again, one of the organizers. "Concerned parents of all ethnic and religious backgrounds are coming together to defend their children" said Sarah Kim of TVNext.org, the co-organizer.
"All people who agree with the goals of the Protect Kids Act are welcome. We will be training and deploying activists to gather the required number of signatures to qualify for the November ballot," said Stephens.
