"The rollout of new programming represents TBN's continuing commitment to produce and air faith content that is informative, engaging, and relevant to a wide range of viewers," says Matt Crouch, chairman of TBN. Crouch adds that he is particularly thrilled with the premiere of son Cody's new monthly series and says, "While Cody has been involved in nearly every aspect of TBN production for a long time, the debut of This Month in Christian History represents the first official introduction many TBN viewers will have of the Crouch family's third generation leadership in Christian television. Of course, Laurie and I could not be prouder."
On Thursday, May 27, TBN will air a special block of programming beginning with "Drive Thru History: Holy Land" at 9 p.m. ET. "For over fifty years TBN has been a leader in encouraging Christians around the world to actively support and pray for the nation of Israel," says Crouch. "That's why we're devoting two hours every Thursday evening to programming on Israel -- to inform, inspire, and encourage our viewers around the world to take an active role in praying for and blessing this nation and people so dear to God's heart."
Next, "Insights: Israel & The Middle East" will premiere at 9:30 p.m. ET. Hosted by Samuel Smadja and Mati Shoshani, this 13-episode documentary series gives viewers an inside look into modern Israel by sharing stories of what Israel has accomplished in technology, energy, innovation, faith and more. Each episode focuses on a unique topic and features global leaders in their industries and disciplines.
