HARTFORD, Conn., Feb. 19 /Christian Newswire/ -- FIC Action will hold a Rally for Marriage and Lobby Day beginning at 10:00 a.m. on the steps of the state capitol in Hartford on Wednesday, February 21. Following the rally our members will lobby their legislators to oppose the forthcoming same-sex "marriage" bill and to support a non-binding referendum on a constitutional amendment defining marriage as the union of a man and a woman.

FIC Action President Brian S. Brown stated, "Same-sex 'marriage' would not give same-sex couples a single new right they do not already have. It is now obvious that our opponents' real goal is to impose a redefinition of marriage and the family on an unwilling public.

"The people of Connecticut clearly oppose same-sex 'marriage' legislation and Gov. Rell has said she will veto it. But activists working against the public interest continue to waste our legislators' time with this issue. This issue must be resolved by the people, not the politicians or the courts.
