NEW YORK, Dec. 5, 2014 /Christian Newswire/ -- The World Congress of Families (WCF) is pleased to announce that Dr. Allan C. Carlson, International Secretary and WCF co-founder, will present the World Congress of Families "Familly and Truth (Familia Et Veritas) Award" to Jaime Mayor Oreja today during the Political Network For Values Transatlantic Summit at a special reception hosted by the Hungarian Permanent Mission to the United Nations.

On the occasion of the 20th Anniversary of the International Year of the family, policy makers from Europe, Latin America, Africa, North America, as well as participants from other regions of the world are gathering at the UN in order to recognize and strengthen the role of the family as a driver for the sustainable development, as well as to promote core ethical, social and political values and human rights.
A Political Network For Values has been formalized both at the national and international level, in order to establish relationships that will lead to ongoing cooperation in the coming years. This Network will add up the all participants' political, intellectual, and social capital and become an efficient tool for the exchange of good policy practices that recognize the sanctity and dignity of human life and human rights.
