Why are people having this reaction? Griffin explains, "The need for apologetics has moved downstream even to elementary school. The curriculum is published through Athanatos Publishing Group, a Christian apologetics ministry that has also been studying the rise in the religiously 'unaffiliated' and has been attempting to meet the challenge.
Athanatos Ministry's Executive Director, Dr. Anthony Horvath, makes the point that Griffin's curriculum is not just for churches, although naturally youth pastors and directors will be very interested. He says, "Given the importance of the family in transmitting the faith, we are making sure that parents and grandparents also know about Griffin's 'Apologetics for Tweens' curriculum."
