CHICAGO, Sept. 24 /Christian Newswire/ -- Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, will help to kick off opening rallies for the 40 Days for Life Campaign this Wednesday, September 26, in Chicago in the morning and in Amarillo, Texas, in the evening. For the next 40 days, he and his pastoral team will travel to many of the other sites around the country where people will gather at local abortion centers to pray.
"Our media are the streets," Fr. Pavone declared in a special statement today. "Abortion will end when the People of God say so. Now is the time for people of every religious and political background to join together to stop the killing. When we come out on the streets, we always win. Fewer babies die and more consciences are stirred to action, starting with our own."
The Silent No More Awareness Campaign, a project of Priests for Life and Anglicans for Life, will likewise be present at many of the sites where people will pray and witness during these 40 days. The SNMAC gives women and men who regret their involvement with abortion an opportunity to share their testimonies at public gatherings.
Priests for Life also provides resources for prayer and preaching all year round to individuals and Churches, to assist their pro-life ministries.
