WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., Oct. 13, 2014 /Christian Newswire/ -- Winston-Salem-based Christian band At The Threshold is proud to announce the release of a 5-song Christmas EP titled 'The Consolation' on December 2, 2014. All profits from the sale of the EP will be used to help their home ministry Grace Baptist Tabernacle fund its new medical outreach Salem Ministries.

The charity was founded to "provide financial, practical and spiritual support to individuals and families who are facing a medical crisis." At The Threshold lead vocalist Jonathan Riddle says, "Several of us have faced medical crises like these, either personally or within our families, and this charity sits close to home. So we have decided to use all of the profits from this EP to help support Salem Ministries."

Led by the vocals of brother/sister duo Jonathan and Hannah Riddle, the EP will feature a combination of original Christmas songs and reimagined versions of Christmas classics. Drawing on each of their own life altering interactions with their Savior, At The Threshold presents a raw, soulful sound with this release. Jonathan says, "As we approach this Christmas season, we can't help but be overwhelmed by the incredible sacrifice that Jesus made by coming to earth as a man to be our atonement. We are both humbled and overjoyed to celebrate Christ this Christmas and are excited to express that through our music on this EP."
