Scarborough declared, "We condemn this heinous crime in the strongest possible terms and hope the person responsible for Dr. Tiller's death is brought to justice speedily."
Tiller operated a controversial abortion facility and was one of the few physicians in the country to perform partial-birth abortions.
Scarborough added: "We oppose the deaths that take place inside clinics like that of Dr. Tiller. We do so legally, exercising our rights as Americans to peacefully protest, educate our fellow citizens and work for change to protect the unborn."
