CLEARWATER, Fla., Feb. 1, 2024 /Christian Newswire/ -- The Women of Grace® Benedicta Institute for Women® is offering an innovative new certification program designed to train Catholic women to be leaders and mentors in contemporary culture through in-person and online learning opportunities.

"The woman who receives the Benedicta Institute Certification in Catholic Women's Leadership will be formed and shaped according to the heart and mind of Holy Mother Church in the fullness of the Feminine Genius, the Blessed Virgin Mary," says Founder and President, Johnnette Williams.

Under the spiritual guidance of Most Reverend William John Waltersheid, Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Pittsburgh, this groundbreaking program will enable women to infuse family life, communities, institutions, and organizations with a culture of life.

The Certification Program is a 2-3 year program (24 equivalency credits) taught by world renowned Catholic Instructors such as Donald Wallenfang, PhD and Monica Miller, PhD. It focuses on four components: God and the Human Person; Mariology; Carmelite Spirituality; Catholic Women's Leadership. The hybrid model offers Immersives, Electives, and Enrichment Seminars in-person and online so that today's busy woman can weave this program into her schedule. Each participant must attend at least two Week-Long Immersives in person; the first will be in April at Our Lady of Florida Spiritual Center in North Palm Beach, Florida.

"The Benedicta Institute offers an entirely unique course of study to earn a Certificate in Catholic Women's Leadership according to the wisdom of the most outstanding female voices of the Church's living tradition of faith," says Donald Wallenfang, OCDS, PhD, Professor of Theology and Philosophy at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit who serves as Academic Advisor and Instructor for the Institute. "Compelling witnesses such as Catherine of Alexandria, Hildegard of Bingen, Teresa of Ávila, Joan of Arc, and Edith Stein lead us in contemplating the faithful face of woman in a fragile world so to 'aid humanity in not falling.'"

The first 3-credit course, 'Who is Woman? The Journey from Eve to Mary,' begins April 22-28, 2024.

"Through the spiritual and leadership formation provided, women will be imbued with the Marian character, confidence, and skill to bring Jesus Christ to the world and the world to Jesus Christ, no matter her position or state in life," Johnnette says. "In so doing, she will do much to create 'a civilization of love.'"
