CHATTANOOGA, Tenn., Dec. 2 /Christian Newswire/ -- Master Peace is pleased to announce the addition of tenor Wallace Nelms. Wallace joins founding member and Baritone Brian Morse and Lead Doug Stroup who joined the group this summer. "It's hard to imagine a more qualified or nicer person for this position," Brian stated.

Most notably Wallace served as tenor for Hovie Lister & The Statesmen Quartet from 1994 until Hovie's death in 2001 and the retirement of the Statesmen name. He was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 1998 and has appeared in many of the Gaither Homecoming videos.

Wallace is an accomplished pianist, a BMI affiliated writer, a composer, and motivator in the Gospel Music field. He has a music degree from ETSU and owns and operates a recording studio in his hometown of Kingsport, TN. Wallace is active in The Gideon's International having held several organizational positions.

Wallace is married to Nancy and they have two children, David and Anthony and 9 grandchildren. Wallace will join the group for the 2010 House of Hope tour and his first concert will be New Year's Eve. Wallace states, "I feel God has put me where He wants me to serve, singing tenor with Brian and Doug is going to be exciting and another chance for me to get back into the main-stream of the greatest music in the world.
