NEW YORK, Oct. 27, 2015 /Christian Newswire/ -- Beginning on November 10th, 2015, "3801 Lancaster: American Tragedy" is scheduled to premiere in 11 theaters across the country, with more theatrical and community screenings being added weekly. These theatrical screenings are dependent on each theater meeting a threshold of ticket sales. If the theaters don't meet these thresholds by November 3rd, the screenings won't happen. All of the proceeds from the film will go towards taking the film to more cities.

The documentary film, "3801 Lancaster: American Tragedy," chronicles one of the most controversial cases of the decade and features exclusive interviews with Gosnell in addition to detectives, police officers, jurors, and victims. A trailer that included excerpts from the Gosnell interviews premiered online on September 21st 2015 and received over 8,000 views within 24 hours.

Screenings are currently scheduled in Gaithersburg, MD, Greenville, SC, Lititz, PA, Manayunk, PA, College Station, TX, Colorado Springs, CO, Phoenix, AZ, Pittsburgh, PA, Alexandria, VA, San Antonio, TX, and Larkspur, CA. Filmmakers are asking fans to invite friends in these cities to see the film, to invite their churches and their communities. They are asking businesses to consider buying blocks of tickets for friends and family. To reserve your tickets, go to www.tugg.com/titles/3801-lancaster.

For the national release, the filmmakers have teamed up with Tugg, the crowdsourcing web-platform that enables people to bring the movies they want to their local theater, community center, church, or school.  "We can't forget what happened at Gosnell's clinic," said producer Jennifer Brown, "The Pennsylvania Departments of Health and State could have stopped him years ago, but they chose to remain silent.  They chose to turn a blind eye and as a result, women and babies died.  Our hope is that individuals and organizations all across the country will sign up to host screenings so that as a nation we don't forget what happened at 3801 Lancaster Avenue."

Fans can also join the 3801 Lancaster Thunderclap and help spread the word about this important film exponentially. The feature length film is an expansion of 3801 Lancaster's earlier short film about the Gosnell case entitled "3801 Lancaster" which won "Best Short Film" at the 2013 Justice Film Festival. Director David Altrogge, producer Jennifer Brown, and cinematographer Michael J. Hartnett have been following the case since it first broke in 2011.

The trailer is available on the film's website, 3801lancaster.com. Viewers interested in seeing the film can find out where the film is playing or sign up to host a screening through the website.
