ATLANTA, Oct. 4 /Christian Newswire/ -- The National Football League salutes Melanie Few, founder and president of Results Inc., as the firm celebrates their 9th year as an official Super Bowl event partner. Results, Inc. produces the Super Bowl Gospel Celebration (SBGC) and Few is the first African-American female to secure a National Football League (NFL) sanction for a concert. The NFL sanction is a highly coveted designation that grants official usage of the NFL brand and logo. As the only sanctioned event that can officially carry the name Super Bowl in its title, SBGC provides celebrity entertainment during one of the most celebrated weekends in the world.

The event provides the host city with affordable, star-studded, family-oriented entertainment during the weekend celebration. The previous line-ups have featured A-list gospel and R&B artists including Patti LaBelle, Anita Baker, Gladys Knight, Yolanda Adams, Donnie McClurkin, Kirk Franklin, The Winans and Mary Mary, just to name a few. Additionally, current and retired NFL players and coaches including Tony Dungy, Jerry Rice, John Elway, Cris Carter, Ray Lewis, Kurt Warner, Deion Sanders, Curtis Martin and a host of others have participated as hosts and talent.

"This milestone is a tremendous honor, and allows us the opportunity to bring a quality event to thousands of fans attending the Super Bowl. We look forward to the 2008 event being bigger and better than ever," said Melanie Few.

A decade ago, Few recognized that many athletes and fans desired a safe, entertaining venue to celebrate the big game, and to not only show their love for football, but also be inspired by the uplifting sounds of award-winning gospel superstars. She leveraged this void and convinced the NFL of the need for a gospel concert during Super Bowl Weekend, resulting in the 9 years of hosting the event as the exclusive producer of the Super Bowl Gospel Celebration.

"We are proud to have Melanie as a long-time partner with the NFL," said Michael Humphrey, NFL Director of Planning and Business Strategy. "The Super Bowl Gospel Celebration is one of the best attended and most talked about events during the Super Bowl weekend year after year. We look forward to building on this relationship, and leveraging the Super Bowl Gospel Celebration as it continues to grow."

For the past four years, a free pre-show concert has been scheduled prior to the main event, featuring gospel/contemporary choirs, duos and soloists all from the Super Bowl host community. "We have always been well received by the faith-based community in each city, so this is our way to thank them and showcase their local talent," added Few.

SBGC has garnered support through sponsorships from key corporations including Motorola, Sam's Club, a division of $365 billion dollar retailer Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., Burger King, Gateway Computers, Amtrak, American Family Insurance, St. Joseph Aspirin and McDonalds. Each year, a sponsor offers guests attending SBGC a chance to win a pair of coveted Super Bowl tickets.
