TALLAHASSEE, Fla., Oct. 16, 2014 /Christian Newswire/ -- International relief leader, Crisis Response International (CRí, www.criout.com) is bringing their nationally certified training to Tallahassee, Florida October 29-November 1 equipping leaders and churches with vital disaster response skills including:

Trauma Counseling and Debriefing, Disaster First Aid, Grief and Loss, Light Search and Rescue, Spiritual and Emotional First Aid, Power Evangelism, Personal and Community Preparedness, Crisis Ministry, Deployment Operations and Protocol.

In response to the overwhelming need in the Middle East and around the world, CRí has organized this training in Florida to equip and rapidly deploy missionaries to bring hope and help to Iraq, Syria and here in the United States.

"The urgent need right now is for trained and prepared missionaries to go into all the world and serve," continued Malone.

Registration for the training closes this Friday, October 17 at 5pm.

CRí provides a model and framework for responding to disaster situations and delivering resources to areas that would otherwise be off-limits to volunteers.

CRí is committed to equipping individuals and churches with the skills and resources needed to meet the spiritual and practical needs of those in crisis.

"Not only did I learn disaster relief skills, I learned 'spiritual relief skills,' too – the care of the souls of victims, as well as the care of my own soul," said one of their recent students.

"In the midst of darkness our teams are bringing peace, healing and hope. The need continues to be great and will be for a while, but so is the opportunity for hope," explained Malone.

Malone explained, "Our procedures and training avoid what the government calls 'the second disaster,' referring to the chaos that often ensues when spontaneous resources and untrained volunteers arrive on scene."
