MINNEAPOLIS, Minn., June 30, 2015 /Christian Newswire/ -- North Central Theological Seminary (NCTS) announces a three-month, intensive course of study in Old Testament Hebrew. Sections will be 45-minutes long, twice a week, and will be available in the mornings, afternoons and evenings. The sections will be live videoconferencing, with time at the end of each study for questions and answers. According to Prof. Brink, "Enrollees will not be getting bogged down in a lot of details of grammar, but will enjoy learning the names and sounds of the Hebrew alphabet so as to read and pronounce Hebrew words. The sections will focus on key words and phrases from the Old Testament: names for God, the concepts and teachings about the glory of the Lord, atonement, covenant, righteousness, sin and holiness."

Professor L. Brink, who has taught Hebrew courses for 20 years, promises, "Our enrollees are going to learn some Hebrew gems in the Old Testament that are full of meaning." Religious scholars, pastors, the curious-minded, and evangelists are excited to finally learn the meaning in Hebrew of the words in the Old Testament that they preach and use so often. They are currently enrolling in the program from all over the U.S. and Europe.

North Central Seminary is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, but serves students around the world via online studies. NCTS also has a reputation for providing affordable theological education, and this Old Testament Hebrew course is no exception. The full tuition for the course is $950, but for the first 19 enrollees, guaranteed scholarships are offered in the amount of $751, leaving a balance of $199. The tuition includes not only enrollment in the sections, but also access to valuable Hebrew resources in the online library, including an expository dictionary for Old Testament words.

Prof. Brink further explains, "Those interested in enrolling in this course do not need to have any previous experience in Hebrew, just a desire to dig into the original, inspired words and phrases of the Old Testament." Enrollment is online at: www.nctsmn.org/mobile_enrollment.php?c=cert+OTH.  An introductory video for the course is posted on the homepage. Students should click on the 'certificate' tab to go to the list of certificate programs, and then click on the 'enroll' line for the Hebrew course.
