WASHINGTON, July 28 /Christian Newswire/ -- American Life League will introduce the second edition of its acclaimed DVD BabySteps, now available in seven additional languages, to an international audience this week.

The original DVD, available only in English, was released in 2006 and was quickly distributed to over 2,000 pregnancy resource centers around the country. Human Life International and Priests for Life Canada have also utilized the DVD in their work to educate people around the world on the personhood of the preborn.

"While the ultrasound footage in this production is really the heart and the focus, having the narration translated into seven foreign languages allows pro-life counselors to better assist those who do not speak English as their primary language," said Leslie Tignor, director of ALL's Associate Program and project manager of BabySteps.

The DVD features detailed pictures of preborn babies from eight to 34 weeks as they roll, yawn, blink, spin, smile and stretch throughout their 16 stages of development. The images were taken at Dr. Stuart Campbell's Create Health Clinic in London, England.

"This DVD has enabled us to provide a vivid, real-life educational tool to pro-life organizations around the world," Tignor said, noting that the thousands of copies of the DVD have been distributed to sidewalk counselors, crisis pregnancy centers and ultrasound technicians.

"They all proclaim BabySteps to be a lifesaving resource, and with these new translations, we're determined to get this DVD into the hands of every woman considering an abortion."
