Alveda King, Naomi King: De-sanctification of Human Life at Core of America's Crime Crisis
Contact: Leslie Palma, 347-286-7277

ATLANTA, Sept. 7, 2016 /Christian Newswire/ -- Mrs. Naomi King, wife of Rev. A.D. King, sister-in-law of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and mother of Evangelist Alveda King, Director of Civil Rights for the Unborn with Priests for Life, was recently vandalized at her senior citizens' residence in Atlanta, GA. Along with Mrs. Naomi King's, cars of other residents were vandalized, with windows bashed in, and possessions rifled in the car. On October 9, 2015 Mrs. King experienced a similar attack where a teenager approached her car, demanded her keys, and punched her in the face repeatedly when she refused to get out of the car or give up the vehicle.

Mrs. King is a voice for civil rights and justice. She loves Jesus Christ. Today, she and her daughter Alveda are advocates for the sanctity of human life from conception until natural death. They agree that a lack of disregard for the sanctity of human life is at the core of America's violent crime crisis.

Quoting Saint Mother Teresa, Alveda explains: "What is taking place in America is a war against the child. And if we accept that the mother can kill her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill one another?"

In 1951 Mrs. Naomi was faced with an unexpected pregnancy. She was offered a "choice" by the then "Birth Control League" that would become "Planned Parenthood." The offer was for a "procedure for a mysterious female ailment," a D&C which would have eliminated everything in Naomi's womb.

Naomi went to her future father-in-law, Martin Luther King, Sr., who prophetically described the baby he'd seen in a dream three years prior. Naomi didn't abort that baby; Alveda. As a result, Evangelist Alveda King is a voice for life today.

Paraphrasing words from her brother-in-law, Mrs. Naomi says: "When we do not value the human personality then our society is in trouble." She also urges in an open letter: "Our God, who is loving and merciful gave you life and gifts. Are you thankful?"

Naomi's love of God, grace and beauty, earned for her the title "The Butterfly Queen." "I'm so glad I chose life for my angel daughter Alveda," she said.

Evangelist Alveda loves her mother and is grateful for her life. She prays for a "cease fire" in America's abortions, crime and violence; and concludes urging everyone: "Pray for America and vote pro-life."
