WASHINGTON, April 22, 2024 /Christian Newswire/ -- Pro-life advocates plan to hold a prayer and worship service in front of the United States Supreme Court on the eve of the Idaho v United States abortion case.
This is the first case to be heard by the Supreme Court directly relating to the Dobbs decision which overturned Roe v. Wade.
The prayer vigil will be on Tuesday, April 23, at 7:00 p.m. on the public sidewalk in front of the United States Supreme Court.
The vigil is being sponsored by Stanton Public Policy Center/Purple Sash Revolution which is a women's advocacy and educational group that works on issues of human rights and justice that empower and inspire women. It is affiliated with Stanton Healthcare which has life-affirming women's health clinics in America and internationally.
Stanton Healthcare is based in Idaho and their clients, medical professionals and advocates were a major voice in getting the Defense of Life Act passed which is a critical part of the Supreme Court case on Wednesday.
Tragically, the Biden Administration is attempting to expand abortion through federal regulations which would turn Idaho’s emergency rooms into abortion clinics.
Brandi Swindell, Founder and CEO of Stanton Healthcare, states:
“It is deeply troubling to see President Biden ignore and disrespect the voices of Idaho’s women as he attempts to advance a radical abortion agenda through federal regulations.
“The Dobbs decision made it clear there is no federal or constitutional right to abortion. Our hope and prayer is the Supreme Court will respect the rights of Idaho’s voters and not allow our emergency rooms to be turned into abortion clinics by the federal government.”
Rev. Patrick Mahoney, Chief Strategy Officer for Stanton Healthcare, comments:
“We are gathering at the Supreme Court to pray for Idaho’s law which protects innocent children from abortion violence and women from abortion abuse. Just as civil rights workers gathered a generation ago to pray and seek God to end segregation, we are coming together in prayer seeking God to end the violence of abortion.”
Note: Stanton Public Policy Center/Purple Sash Revolution will also be holding a news conference with national pro-life leaders at the Supreme Court on Wednesday, April 24, at 10:00 a.m.
