Christian Newswire/ -- Sunday School curriculum provider and church media company,
Sharefaith, announces the release of ParentShare, to provide for greater involvement of parents with their children. ParentShare, a feature within the SharefaithKids app, informs parents about what their child is learning in their Sunday School curriculum, SharefaithKids. This helps the parent emphasize and reinforce those lessons throughout the week at home.
With ParentShare, parents download the free SharefaithKids app, available in the Apple iOS or Android app store, which allows them to view what their children are learning each week. To launch the feature, a parent needs only to scan a QR code once. This QR code may be placed in the child's Sunday School room or in a church bulletin. It allows the parent to receive push notification alerts on their child's Sunday School lessons, Scripture passages, themes, memory verses, applications, and a Sunday School schedule. All the information a parent wants and needs is right there in the app, enabling them to better connect with their children and emphasize at home what is being taught in the classroom.
In advance of each week's lesson, parents will receive a notification as well. This notification gives them a glimpse at what is coming up in Sunday's lesson plan. Parents can use this information to work ahead on memory verses, study the passage that will be taught, or discuss the application that will be shared.
In many churches, parents and children are on completely different tracks. Parent and child each attend different classes to learn about different topics. While some of this age-graded division is understandable, it is nonetheless regrettable that parents are not more involved in what their children are hearing and learning in the Sunday School classroom.
Since Sunday School is such a crucial part of a child’s Bible knowledge and spiritual development, it only makes sense that Christian parents would want to be involved. But how? Many of the traditional methods involved take-home papers and activities for the child and parent to work on together.
While those features certainly have their place,
ParentShare uses the ubiquity of technology to make it easier and more natural for parents and their children to connect over Scripture. While parents can engage in prescriptive activities with their children, they can also make the Sunday School topics and teaching a more natural part of everyday conversation, daily study, and continual reminder. Just as technology is always with us, so can be the reminders of what we're learning from God's Word.
Sharefaith has always been at the forefront of leveraging technology to advance the truth. As one of the pioneers in church media, Sharefaith made it easy and affordable for churches to create beautiful program covers, worship backgrounds, and video. As churches became interested in creating websites, and apps, Sharefaith once again stepped in to fill a critical need, developing a platform for churches to easily create beautiful sites and mobile apps to get on the web and in the app store.
In Sharefaith's most recent innovation, SharefaithKids, they have provided a way for Sunday School teachers, volunteers, and parents to proclaim truth to children. With a cloud-based system and full mobile device implementation, SharefaithKids leads the way in technological innovation and Gospel proclamation.
"We've always seen technology as a tool to be used for Gospel outreach," says Hein van Wyk, Sharefaith's CEO. In keeping with this philosophy, Sharefaith's products have created a vast repository of valuable resources for the church.
Not only are the tools cutting-edge, but they are affordable, too. Many times, churches lack the deep pockets and big budgets to spend on media and technology. Sharefaith has developed systems and processes that streamline the process for churches to get online, get media, publish a blog, and even create a church app — all without major financial outlay.
Sharefaith is constantly pushing out new products and updating old ones. Their activity is fueled by a passion to proclaim the truth. Everyone needs the Gospel. ParentShare is yet one more way that people can engage the Gospel, and live it out in day-to-day interaction. You can find out more about Sharefaith and their products at
