LOS ANGELES, July 13 /Christian Newswire/ -- "PASTOR GREG", the World's first Christian Sit-com, which airs on Trinity Broadcasting Network, the world's largest faith and family friendly television network, is now in pre-production and will begin shooting its third season next month as the newlywed Pastor Greg and his wife Missy are expecting a baby and reuniting with John and the real Lori at Merlin Church.

"I am really excited about our third season as we are having a child on the show and a lot of other twists and turns that everyone will find both hilarious and surprising," says Greg Robbins, who stars as Pastor Greg.  "Special guests include the character Frank returning for a few fun episodes and Missy's father played by "LAVERNE and SHIRLEY" star, Eddie Mekka. Also coming back is Pastor Greg's mom, played to perfection by GILLIGAN'S ISLAND star Dawn Wells. A new addition to the regular cast is veteran character actor Scottio Arnold. Best known for his role on the CBS hit police/drama series "THE DISTRICT". Scottio Arnold will play the new Youth Pastor.

PASTOR GREG, which debuted in 2005 to rave reviews and awesome audience response, is gearing up for its third season on both Christian networks and over 100 network affiliates nationwide. Season two added some exciting twists and turns as Pastor Greg reconnected with an old girlfriend, lead her to faith, and they ended up getting married. There was also a brand new, up-beat church for the pair to pastor, with a whole set of zany, off- the-wall, and unforgettable congregational characters. Hey, it's just like real church!  Viewers were also introduced to Pastor Greg's mom, played to perfection by Dawn Wells. Season 3 will begin with Greg dreamt that they moved to a new church, and we find it never happened.

The first season of this groundbreaking half-hour comedy found Greg Wilson, a former gambling, drinking lost soul who comes to faith, answering the call to pastor a small-town church. With his casual dress and unconventional ways, Pastor Greg unwittingly stirs things up before winning over the church's feisty congregation. In the process he helps his congregant clan discover some important truths about love, forgiveness, faith, and Gods family.
