ATLANTA, Oct. 1 /Christian Newswire/ -- Care Net kicked off its 25th National Pregnancy Center Conference on Wednesday in Atlanta, Georgia. The event will attract more than 1,400 pregnancy center staff, volunteers, and friends and feature more than 125 workshops, a host of powerful speakers, worship, and fellowship opportunities. To many, the Care Net conference is like a refilling station with spiritual refreshment for those who work and volunteer in pregnancy centers across North America.

Care Net President Melinda Delahoyde will deliver a keynote address to attendees focused on two main themes: looking back with respect on the past - honoring those who have served in the movement - and looking forward with hope - casting a vision for uniting the passion of pregnancy centers with operational excellence.

"Pregnancy centers would not be where they are today if it weren't for the faithful pioneers who brought this movement into existence," said Delahoyde. "As we celebrate our 25th national conference together, we honor their sacrifice and entrepreneurial spirit."

Delahoyde will also discuss Care Net's vision for the next 25 years and announce new Care Net initiatives to promote excellence within the movement. "Care Net will continue to come alongside pregnancy centers with top-notch training, critical resources, and expert guidance," said Delahoyde. "Care Net's driving passion is that pregnancy centers, and those that serve within them, are known for both their incredible compassion and their outstanding services to those in need."

Joining Melinda Delahoyde as keynote speakers are Pastor Chip Ingram from Atlanta and Rev. Herb Lusk from Philadelphia, as well as Gary Thomas, Lysa TerKeurst and Michele Pillar. Specialty workshop tracks will be offered on a wide range of topics including multicultural outreach, leadership development, medical services, legal issues, and client marketing. In conjunction with the conference, Care Net is also hosting the S.O.U.L. (Sanctity of Urban Life) Summit, an educational opportunity about pregnancy center development for African American church leaders from urban inner city areas.
