Why Should Christians Support Palestinian Rights?

OPINION, Feb. 26, 2016 /Christian Newswire/ -- The following is submitted by Rev. Terry McIntosh:

Hogwash or the Voice of God?

DNA science confirms that up to 90% of Palestinians are descendants of Israel. The Hebrew University in Jerusalem and other leading academic institutions confirm each others results. Many Israeli's and Palestinians have know this fact for years, but the Christian world is just now realizing it.

Our nation is under a curse because we support one brother over the other. We have been enslaved to a powerful deception that leads to harm. Our Christian community is splintered and not realizing the fullness of God as a whole. Many of our families are broken, and not living up to the fullest extent of what the Lord has for us. We surround ourselves with teachers who tell us how to improve our lives spiritually and financially, but we continue to walk in a direction opposite to God's wonderful plan.

Attempts to discredit DNA findings are all based on prejudiced opinions by those who have not done DNA research on anything, let alone Jews and Palestinians. One should go to the source and ignore grand proclamations without merit.

This means that the Gen.12:3 blessing applies to Palestinians as well, and not just the Jewish community. Wrong theology has pitted brother against brother and the continued division of God's land. That is a heavy charge weighted down on our Christian community, but it is true. It is harmful to God's plan of reconciliation, Jews, Palestinians, and to our own nation.

The Bible is clear about why we should support the whole House of Israel which includes Jews and Palestinians.

Even if the all-Jewish concept of Israel was correct, which it is not, but if it was, Jews are commanded to treat others justly. Leviticus 19:33 "And if a stranger dwells with you in your land, you shall not mistreat him." Deuteronomy 27:19 "Cursed be anyone who deprives the alien, the orphan, and the widow of justice."

The Bible's 10 Commandments leave no room to support theft of land and abuse. "Do not steal" cannot be explained away to justify Jewish theft of Palestinian owned land.

Ezekiel 47: 21-23 goes far beyond an all-Jewish definition of who is eligible to share in the inheritance promise. It is all inclusive - foreigners are to be considered as equals. Continued occupation of Palestinian land is not just and equal.

Political Zionism teaches Christians that we must support a greater Jewish Israel or we will be under a curse. Considering that Palestinians are as much Hebraic as Jews, we cannot let today's politics determine whether we support Palestinians or not. The Bible is our final authority, not a political ideology.

The Bible is crystal clear: the Lord Almighty will judge all nations who divide the Land of Israel. In Joel 3:2, the Lord says: "I will gather all the nations and bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat. Then I will enter into judgment with them there on behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; and they have divided up My land."

The name "Israel" was placed upon the children of Joseph in Gen. 48. His marriage to an Arabic Egyptian woman created the half-tribes. History records that Arabs had settled in Egypt and adopted local customs. When the Bible talks about Israel it is talking about their descendants. When it talks about Judah, it is talking about "Jews."

The political argument in support of the all-Jewish concept says that Palestinians are evil and only want to kill Jews, therefore the need for security justifies Jewish domination. Regarding religion, "They have turned their back on God and lost their rights, but Jews worship the same God that Christians serve."

What a trough of hogwash that is! The subjugation of Palestinian people has never been about security. Jews could legally have maintained a military occupation without moving a single settler into the occupied territories.

When the "Jews" rejected Christ, they rejected YHWH, the God of Abraham. Where they once worshiped the true God, they now worship an empty version of God. John 14: 6 "Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

Judaism does not worship the same God we do. Thank God for the Christian Jewish remnant that does worship the Lord, but the strongest Christian voice in all the Holy Land is the Arab/Palestinian voice.

The myth of Jewish innocence is exposed for what it is, and it's just as bad as any Palestinian/Arab/Islamic act of terrorism. Jewish Israel has admitted to creating riots and framing Palestinians in court documented process. Founders of the state admitted to creating a long chain of false incidents to frame the Palestinians and provoking clashes in the process. Moral supremacy is a Jewish myth.

Jews and Palestinians do both good and bad things. The good does not make them righteous, and the bad is redeemable through Christ.

The Bible has the final word. Gods' plan of reconciliation is the best plan. Politics should not interpret the Bible, rather the Bible should influence politics. It says in Ezekiel 37, "I am going to take the stick of Joseph - which is in Ephraim's hand - and of the Israelite tribes associated with him, and join it to Judah's stick, making them a single stick of wood, and they will become one in my hand."

This resurrected Bible truth is not harmful to Jews, rather a blessing once one throws off the lies, manipulations, and racial hatred. God is able to make it work. It is his plan. There is no turning back.

To speak up for Palestinian rights is the Voice of God at work.
