SONICFLOOD Presents a Virtual Missions Tour with the International Missions Board and also Promotes Nationwide Education Effort

MEDIA ADVISORY, Sept. 18 /Christian Newswire/ -- SONICFLOOD, the GRAMMY© nominated pioneering modern worship band with over 1 ½ million records sold, is on a 54 city tour during September through November in conjunction with the International Missions Board (IMB,  www.imb.org) project, “This Generation.”  The “This Generation” tour marks the first time the IMB has partnered with a Christian band to provide a unique concert event reaching the youth of America with an emphasis on worship and missions enhanced by multi-media production. The International Mission Board of The Southern Baptist Convention will be presenting World Wide Missions information and opportunities to the audience via videos and mass media presentations. With missions booths located in the lobby, the event provides many opportunities for students to get involved with mission work in China, Peru, South Asia and West African. "I have never been to a country where God did not get there first," Mike Lopez told the crowd. Lopez serves as director of student mobilization for the International Mission Board.

In addition, SONICFLOOD is promoting bringing back the Bible, as an elective curriculum taught in the public schools.  SONICFLOOD provides petitions that students can sign that will be presented to local school boards encouraging them to implement the National Council On Bible Curriculum In Public School’s (www.bibleinschools.net) curriculum, “The Bible In History And Literature.” To date, this Constitutionally-acceptable curriculum is taught in over 1,300 public schools, on campus, during school hours, for credit, in 37 states.
