Invitation: Roundtable with Ambassador, His Excellency, Sudjadnan Parnohadiningrat, Ambassador of Indonesia
Contact: Kevin Fahey, Institute on Religion and Public Policy, 202-835-8760, fahey@religionandpolicy.org
WASHINGTON, July 6 /Christian Newswire/ -- As the world’s largest Islamic country, many nations look to Indonesia as a source of leadership in the international arena. In light of recent developments in Indonesian foreign affairs, including a state visit from President Ahmadinejad of Iran, Australia’s deployment of troops to East Timor, and the ever present H5N1 bird flu threat the Ambassador will expound upon Indonesia’s foreign policy agenda.
Roundtable with the Ambassador is an open, cooperative forum held monthly to provide Ambassadors and interested human rights and religious freedom organizations the opportunity to interact in an off the record dialogue on issues of mutual concern and interest. The Roundtable is an opportunity for a constructive and interactive discussion regarding the civil, political, religious, and human rights environment in countries represented by the ambassador.
In an ever-shrinking world, knowledge of the states in it, their cultures, their experiences, their worldviews, and their representatives in Washington strengthens the bilateral relationship between the United States and each country.
