DeForest B. Soaries Jr. to Give Eulogy of Murder Victim Eric Andrews, Jr.

Christian Newswire/ -- Rev. Dr. DeForest B. Soaries, Jr. will give the eulogy for murder victim, Eric Andrews, Jr., on Monday, January, 6, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens (FBCLG). Aspiring rapper, Eric Andrews, Jr., also known as E-9, was shot and killed on Sunday, December 29, 2013, during a dispute at Nu Trendz Hair Salon in Franklin Township, New Jersey. Suspects and brothers, Antwon Cromedy and Zaire Cromedy, were charged with first- degree murder and are being held at the Somerset County Jail with a bail of $500,000 each.
Dr. Soaries will speak on the epidemic of black-on-black crime as he delivers his message at the homegoing service of Andrews. "As long as we've got black people killing more black people in our cities than the Ku Klux Klan ever did; we need to pray for God to save America," said Dr. Soaries. "We don't need a president -- we need a savior! We don't need a Congress -- we need a Savior!"
Andrews was part of a rap duo with his friend of many years, George Opoku, also known as 6FO. This duo performed with well-known rap artist Waka Flocka Fame on the song, "M.O.N.E.Y." Many people expressed deep sympathy through YouTube videos and Twitter post for Andrews. The family including his 9 year old son continue to mourn his passing.
The viewing for Eric Andrews, Jr. will be held Monday, December 6, 2014 at 9 a.m. and the funeral will follow at 11 a.m. at FBCLG. The church is located at 771 Somerset St., Somerset, New Jersey 08873. All who wish to express condolences are welcome to attend the services.
