Big Tech Meets Big Brother: Social Credit Scores and Gun Control
NEWS PROVIDED BY
Sept. 9, 2019

PITTSBURGH, Sept. 9, 2019 /Christian Newswire/ -- After the latest spate of mass shootings in U.S., it has been reported, that President Trump is considering a government partnership with Big Tech companies, which are currently surveilling Americans on an unprecedented scale, for the purpose of determining mental stability, to provide information that can be used to deny gun purchases to those deemed mentally unsound.

"This is similar to the social credit scoring system used in communist China to control their citizens," said Michael Rectenwald, author of the forthcoming book, "Google Archipelago: The Digital Gulag and the Simulation of Freedom," to be released this month.

"The problem is that Google is not a neutral information gathering source but rather is leftist; therefore, the use of Google for gun permits will differentially discriminate against those on the right or anyone having right-leaning tendencies."

"Further," Rectenwald continues, "this development proves the point that I make in Google Archipelago that Big Digital serves governmental functions and not neutral informational search and information gathering. The principals of Big Digital are state apparatuses. Big Digital corporations augment state power and serve as auxiliaries of the state, if in fact they are not emerging corporate states in their own right."

*NOTE: **Michael Rectenwald is currently scheduled to appear on the GlennBeck Radio program on Monday, September 9, 2019 at 10:00 am EST to discuss this controversial topic.*
