FREDERICKSBURG, Va., Dec. 15, 2016 /Christian Newswire/ -- Choices Women's Center, formerly Fredericksburg Pregnancy Center, recently began seeing clients in Caroline County one day a week. In Caroline, the Center is using a portable ultrasound machine generously donated by the Knights of Columbus in 2015. The expansion of services into the county was only possible with the aid of Dr. Trementozzi of the Caroline Christian Health Center.

Choices Women's Center has undergone several recent changes, including a new name and logo as well as a redesigned client website at www.fredericksburgchoices.com.

The Fredericksburg Pregnancy Center, now Choices Women's Center (CWC), was incorporated in the Commonwealth of Virginia in 2012 and provides free and confidential services to anyone facing an unplanned pregnancy. CWC offers ultrasound confirmation, pregnancy testing, and medical consultation, education concerning abortion and abortion alternatives, education about lifestyles, marriage, and relationships. CWC is connected with many area agencies and able to offer resource referrals and adoption referrals. Routinely, CWC holds post-abortion support-healing groups assisting with abortion recovery as well as education in parenting and prenatal classes through its Earn While You Learn parenting program for mothers and fathers. After hours, CWC is still available through its 24-hour hotline and 24-hour texting.

"Choices serves the City of Fredericksburg and the surrounding counties of Stafford, Spotsylvania, Caroline, King George and parts of Louisa but clients must travel to our location in Fredericksburg," stated Swett. "For some clients, getting to Fredericksburg is difficult. Seeing clients in Caroline allows us to meet this need and give them the help they need at a crucial time."

Choices Women's Center is a pregnancy help center serving clients primarily from Planning District 16 which is comprised of Stafford, Spotsylvania, King George, Caroline, and the City of Fredericksburg but has seen clients from a much broader area including Bumpass, Doswell, and Montross.
