A Pro-Jewish Chaplain on Being Pro-Israel

Contact: Chaplain Terry Henderson, 951-787-9775, najerj@aol.com

RIVERSIDE, Calif., June 2, 2015 /Christian Newswire/ -- The following is submitted by Chaplain Terry Henderson:

I am extremely pro-Jewish, a member of numerous pro-Jewish organizations. There is not an anti-Semitic bone in my body. For years I have been disappointed with those claiming to be Christians who would not see Jews as God's chosen people, and Judaism as the source religion of Christianity. I have thought that those who do not believe that the Jews are Hebrew are anti-Semitic. More perplexing, some Jews do not see themselves as Hebrew. Some Jews say this about themselves:

    • "Strictly speaking it is incorrect to call an ancient Israelite a 'Jew' or to call a contemporary Jew an Israelite or a Hebrew" (1980 Jewish Almanac, p. 3).

    • "Edom is in modern Jewry" (The Jewish Encyclopedia, 1925 edition, Vol. 5, page 41).

    • "Some call it Marxism — I call it Judaism" (The American Bulletin, Rabbi S. Wise, May 5, 1935).

    • "We have exterminated the property owners in Russia. We are going to do the same thing in Europe and America" (The Jew, December 1925, Zinobit).

    • "Anti-Communism is anti-Semitism" (Jewish Voice, New York: National Council of Jewish Communists, July-August 1941, p. 23).

    • And finally, Moses said that Ashkenaz was a descendant of Japheth, making Ashkenazi Jews Japhethitic, not Semitic. In Genesis 10:1-3, Moses stated: "Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood. The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras. And the sons of Gomer; Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah" (KJV).

Photo: 'Rottschild,' German for "red shield," is sometimes anglicized as Rothschild. The hexagram is used in Hanafism, Raelianism, Jewish identity, Hinduism, and occultism. The one here has the Christian cross on it. The cross is placed in the center of the hexagram by a Christian sect who believe the Hebrew Jesus was a Jew, and the occult's hexagram the Star of David. But a man after God's heart could not embrace an occult symbol. It must not be his star.

Moses also indicates many times that Israel is Jacob (Genesis 32:38), and other times Israel is his descendants (Exodus 5:2)—a people, not a political nation-state created in the heartland of Palestine in 1948. So if these Jews are correct about themselves, that they are not Hebrew, then where is Israel if the political nation-state Israel is not it? What then does it mean if Christians are not pro-Israel, meaning they do not support the political nation-state Israel, that never existed in the Old Testament nor in the history of mankind until 1948?

As noted above, some Jews have stated who they are. But some Christians seem to be having a hard time facing this reality. Unless Christians accept them as they are, they cannot love them for who they are. Loving people unconditionally is what it means to truly be a Christian and to truly be for them.
