National Personhood Alliance Gains Momentum
Contact: Genevieve Wilson, 770-339-6880

NORCROSS, Ga., Sept. 11, 2014 /Christian Newswire/ -- Georgia Right to Life (GRTL) announced today that support for its newly-formed National Personhood Alliance (NPA) is growing.

"We get inquiries weekly," said GRTL Co-Executive Director Genevieve Wilson. "It's encouraging to see so many local and national pro-life leaders coming together for this common cause."

NPA is a confederation of faith-based, pro-life organizations and leaders who believe that pursuing Personhood is essential to protecting all innocent human life—from our earliest biological beginning through natural death.

"Our goal is to help bring the movement back to its original mission—honoring the fact that everyone is created in the image of God and deserves protection, regardless of manner of conception or ability," Wilson added.

NPA will be officially established at a Founders Convention to be held in Atlanta, GA, on October 10th and 11th.

"We welcome everyone who truly values the sanctity of human life and agrees with the NPA Charter," Wilson said. "NPA will never accept legislation or support candidates who divide human beings into different classes of people."

NPA was incorporated by GRTL under the umbrella of Personhood Inc., and looks forward to working with other national groups, such as Save the 1, the National Black Pro-Life Coalition, and Living Exceptions.

Pastor R.C. Sproul Jr. praised the formation of NPA, saying: "The National Personhood Alliance speaks not with compromise, cowardice and cunning, but with conviction, clarity, and consistency, not only doing the Lord's work, but doing it the Lord's way."

NPA will also lend support to local and state pro-life organizations, such as: as The Restoration Project, Life Right Now Radio and Cleveland Right to Life.

Voicing support for the overall goal of the Personhood movement Most Reverend David Kagan, Bishop of Bismark, ND, has said: "No person or group has any individual or inherent right to destroy or to mutilate innocent human life but has the binding duty to protect and defend innocent human life in all of its stages of development."

Georgia Right to Life promotes respect and effective legal protection for all innocent human life from earliest biological beginning through natural death. GRTL is one of a number of organizations that have adopted Personhood as the most effective strategy for the 21st century.
