MEDIA ADVISORY, Jan. 23 /Christian Newswire/ -- As you may know, 138 of the highest ranking leaders of Islam have recently composed an open letter to the Christian community and given us an opportunity to respond. You can express your comments on their website, www.acommonword.com.

Much controversy has been stirred over whether leaders of the NAE and individual denominations should endorse the letter or not. I will not attempt to take sides on that subject but simply want to note that (1) for the first time since 9/11 we have an opportunity to communicate with these previously elusive individuals and (2) they seem to be quite sensitive concerning their poor public relations.

With this in mind, there would seem to be an incredible opportunity laid before us. We are asking every Christian to please contact them and let them know the necessity of their removing school curriculum from Muslim classrooms which teaches that Christians and Jews are pigs and apes designed to look human by the devil and that killing them is the highest form of virtue. Only with the removal of this can any meaningful dialogue take place. This curriculum is vital to the training of terrorists and its removal would likely cut the bloodline to the terrorist movement.

Currently all indications are that our military "surge" being conducted in the Middle East is working. Al Qaeda has its back to the wall and is in need of reinforcements. We can help make sure that these reinforcements never arrive.

Removing the curriculum would make sense from both sides. There is no reason for Muslims to want to dialogue with pigs and apes and we certainly do not want to be cast as tools of Satan.

We would suggest that any sort of dialogue should follow a format similar to the ten points outlined in our September '06 letter to the Muslims (found at www.cmdialogue.com) either way we need Christians to contact them monthly between now and October 21, when they reconvene in Istanbul, and request the removal of the school curriculum beforehand. Imagine if they were to receive a million letters a month requesting this.

Please forward this information to as many other Christians as possible. Ask your minister to post the information in your Church bulletin. Be courteous and polite in your letters. Thank the Muslim leaders for their correspondence and for the opportunity to express your views. It has taken more than a year to get any sort of response at all so, please do not anger them.
