DETROIT, Nov. 2, 2015 /Christian Newswire/ -- Within the pages of Marie Walters Gill's new book, I Never Knew HIM, ($17.99, paperback, 9781498449236; $8.99, e-book, 9781498449243) readers will follow the exciting story of young Eleazar – on a thought-provoking journey to learn his Jewish heritage – a tale filled with history and inspiration. The author encourages readers to know that there is nothing that He won’t forgive – but each person must be willing to invite Him in.

"The only thing we cannot be forgiven for is disbelief in the only begotten Son of God," states the author. "Anyone can have salvation. God freely offers us redemption through the sacrifice of his Son. All we are required to do is BELIEVE. Accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your savior and you will be saved."

Marie Walters Gill is currently practicing as an optometrist in the city of Detroit. She spent between four to five years researching the history of first century Israel and the ancient world. In 2007, she was privileged to visit the Holy Land with the Grace Baptist Church. While standing on the stairs leading up to the bricked up Eastern Gate, she pondered what it would have been like for a privileged young Sadducee to have all of his beliefs challenged by a poor itinerant rabbi from Nazareth. That incredible trip inspired her to write this book.
