LAS VEGAS, Feb. 7, 2024 /Christian Newswire/ -- Maison Des Champs, the man known as "Pro-Life Spiderman" free-climbed the 366 foot Sphere in Las Vegas, Nevada this Wednesday. Supporters cheered on Des Champs from the street below as he ascended the massive orb just east of the Las Vegas strip. Emergency personnel and police waited for Des Champs to descend to ground-level before arresting him.
While half a million football fans arrive in Las Vegas for Superbowl LVIII, Des Champs wants to shake the public into caring about the fate of unborn children in our country. Des Champs says:
"Over 2,000 children meet their demise through abortion every day in America, but we've grown apathetic about it. We care more about seeing Taylor Swift on the kiss cam than a third of our generation that has been wiped from abortion."
Des Champs is a dedicated pro-life activist who climbs to help mothers-in-crisis through his partnership with the non-profit, Let Them Live. The organization was formed by Nathan and Emily Berning to provide abortion-minded moms with tangible help - often in the form of financial assistance, to help them choose life for their unborn child. Nathan Berning says,
"Maison's climb gives me Las Vegas paramount vibes, like when that guy jumped his motorcycle over fifty cars on the strip. But this stunt is for a greater cause, as he is saving a baby."
That baby is the unborn child of 37-year-old "Isabel" who has an abortion appointment scheduled for February 10th. Isabel reached out to Let Them Live in despair, deeply burdened in having another child, while at the same time agonizing over her demising appointment. She has been homeless since September, but this organization desires to give moms a helping hand to get back on their feet. The mission is to offer Isabel tangible support and a community to rally around her. The goal is to raise $25,000 from Des Champ's Las Vegas climb to help Isabel with housing and basic necessities.
