MEDIA ADVISORY, Feb. 4 /Christian Newswire/ -- The Ronald Reagan Library in Simi Valley, California will be the site of "A Celebration of Freedom Gala" which will be a special evening dedicated to bring honor to our nation's Congressional Medal of Honor recipients and provide a platform for leaders from across the country to focus on freedom and the virtues of those who defend it. The event will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2008.
Invited Guests will gather alongside business, government, military, entertainment and philanthropic leaders from throughout the nation. Guests will also be invited to tour the museum library prior to the dinner and view the Visions of Valor exhibit, a portrait collection depicting America's Medal of Honor recipients.
Steve Amerson, also known as "America's Tenor," will be singing three selections during the evening including, "Blades of Grass and Pure White Stones," a moving tribute of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice written by Senator Orrin Hatch, Lowell Alexander and Phil Naish. Steve is featured at Medal of Honor events throughout the United States. In March, he will be singing at the MOH Foundation event at the New York Stock Exchange and in May he will be singing at the MOH Foundation event in Atlanta, Georgia.
Brian Williams of NBC News will be the master of ceremonies for the event and honorees include, Jon Voight (actor), Charles Durning (actor), Dr. Bonnie Dunbar (former astronaut) and General James Conway.
The evening is co-hosted by Bruce Brereton, Patriot and Friend of Congressional Medal of Honor Recipients, David J. McIntyre, Jr., Board Member, Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation and Gary Sinise, Actor and Entertainer of Troops and their Families.
