Atlanta Ride of Life Event Raises Awareness to Fight ALS
Contact: Pat Puzder, 770-827-6494

STOCKBRIDGE, Ga., July 24, 2014 /Christian Newswire/ -- For almost 2 months Silas "Randy" Smith has been riding his Motorcycle around the USA and talking about his wife, Sophia Smith and the losing battle she fought with ALS. Randy rides with a two fold purpose: (1) To raise awareness about this devastating disease and (2) To complete an inpatient center for Hospice of South Texas, a state of the art facility for those who require intensive palliative care. Randy plans to accomplish this by personally asking each person he meets on his nationwide tour to give at least $10 for Hospice's new "home like" end-of-life center and to ask 10 others to do the same.

Randy will be in Stockbridge, Georgia on Saturday July 26th at the licensed Avon Beauty Center (retail store) located at 5015 Mt Zion Pkwy (next to Kohl's). Sophia was one of the top 10 producing Avon representatives in the USA, and was well known around the country; and her friend and sister representative Pat Puzder and her Team will host Randy for a special Atlanta "Ride of Life Event" this Saturday. Pat expects many representatives to join them from across Georgia and Alabama and perhaps even other areas because when Sophia died, she left not only her husband Randy and 3 children behind, she left an army of Avon representatives in awe of her bravery and courage.

The public is cordially invited! Music, clown and balloons, face painting, BBQ , shaved ice and Funnel cakes , mini makeovers by an Avon Make Up Maven, sidewalk vendors and a silent auction are among the planned activities.

Motorcycle Ride: Register at 4 PM at Avon Store. Kickstands up at 4;45. Ride to Monticello, Ga and back to Stockbridge. $10 per bike and $5 for extra rider.
